This depends on your pup's breed. For long haired breeds you should bring them every 4-6 weeks.
You can bring your puppy in for its first groom (puppy trim) after its had all of its shots.

A trim only trims a small amount of fur around the face, paws, and sanitary area, where a haircut also includes taking off any length of fur from the body.
Aly's Grooming & Apawthecary is a crateless facility. Your dog will not be crated unless requested.
Many dog are not used to being in new places, and being handled for more than a few minutes at a time - especially not all at once. It’s not uncommon for some dogs to feel stressed after their groom, or simply cranky and tired.
You may also notice that your pup's skin is red or irritated if they had mats that were removed during their grooming appointment - this is very common. It is also very common to see your pup shaking their head frequently after a groom due to ear cleaninig and all of these irritations should clear up within a few days after the groom.
Unfortunately we are only able to groom dogs at this time. Although feel free to message us and we can refer you to someone who is able to groom your cat.

Unfortunately not because it makes your dog more anxious when you are around. Your dog will be much calmer when they cannot see or smell you, and will get very fidgety and distracted if you are in the room.
An appointment must be made prior to your arrival. However, we do accept walk-ins for nail trimming.
We reccomend that you book your appointment two weeks in advance.
